Newly Appointed DPC PERADI Surabaya Branch Manager Ready to Continue Collaboration with FH UNAIR

After recently holding the Inauguration of the DPC Surabaya Branch of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) for 2022-2027 (on Saturday, 14 January 2023) at the Shangrilla Hotel Surabaya, many newly appointed administrators visited the Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga to continue the close collaboration that has been established so far.

PERADI’s DPC management who attended the visit were Budi Sampurno, S.H., Vice Chair, Dr. Mohammad Zamroni S.H., M.H. General Secretary, Bonar Parulian Sidabuke, S.H., LL.M, CLA. Deputy Secretary, and Steven Mandraguna, S.H., M.H., Silviana Damayanti, S.H., Edo Tantiono, S.H.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law UNAIR, Iman Prihandono, Ph.D, who was also appointed as a Member of the PERADI DPC Expert Council, congratulated the newly appointed administrators, and FH UNAIR will be ready to continue to work together as it has been going so far. Cooperation in implementing PKPA will continue, and several new collaborations can be initiated jointly. Among them are regular up-grading training for Advocates, updates on cases, and recent legal developments, for approximately 2,000 members of the Surabaya Branch of DPC PERADI.

In addition, the UNAIR Faculty of Law also requires collaboration with Advocates to facilitate Free Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) activities in the form of student apprenticeships in advocate offices. Furthermore, “We also need practical skills and knowledge possessed by Advocates to be taught to students in classrooms, for example, judicial practice classes and professional ethics classes.”

This visit was closed with an agreement to hold joint seminars and training, signing an MoA between FH UNAIR and DPC PERADI Surabaya Branch, and signing a Cooperation Agreement between several Advocate Offices of DPC PERADI and FH UNAIR regarding MBKM.
