FH UNAIR STUDENT KKN HELP GEDONGAN hamlet DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL AREA
As an embodiment of one of the pillars of the tridharma of higher education, namely community service, students at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga are now busy with Real Work Lecture activities. Students of the Faculty of Law who are currently carrying out Real Work Lectures include Jimly Ashiddiqy as the Chair of the Group of 76 KKN-BBM Period 65 this time. When contacted in a brief interview, he explained that the KKN he carried out together with his group chose the location in Gedongan Hamlet, Manguharjo Village, Manguharjo District, Madiun City, East Java Province. The purpose of this activity is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) according to the direction of the UNAIR Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM).
Various projects are structured in three areas of work that they have defined themselves, namely, Health-Environment, Economics, and Education. One of the projects that is quite interesting is the development of the gedongan edutourism area. Jimly explained that the Gedongan hamlet itself has quite good tourism potential with the presence of edutourism. In order to attract more tourists, he and his team worked together to create a beautiful photo area. According to him, this activity can help economic development in Gedongan Hamlet in order to realize Point 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Not only that, he also carried out other activities such as education on the importance of brushing teeth, planting Moringa trees, joint exercise, community service, and even helping SMEs to market their products digitally. The Real Work Lecture itself is scheduled for January 18, 2022 – February 12, 2022. Residents also seem to feel happy and welcome the activities they are doing. In closing, Jimly had expressed his hope that students could gain knowledge and the community could benefit from every little thing that his team did there. “KKN activities will be very beneficial for both students and the community. The hope is that we can gain knowledge and the community can be empowered so as to create mutually beneficial relationships,” he said at the end of the interview.
