INTENTION

– INTERNATIONAL DISPUTE NEGOTIATION COMPETITION –

Greetings to all varsity/undergraduate students from all over Indonesia! Scholarly discussions and debates over recent influential International disputes have indeed advanced and intensified in within the global society today. This corresponds with the massive rise of complex issues between states and persons under international law; the deprivation of global economy, peace, and security, and the rise of human’s fulfillment of rights and basic needs.   As young generations to be the world’s future leaders, it is really important to have a broad understanding topped with good communication skills. To accommodate the different arguments and viewpoints of students, Universitas Airlangga and the International Law Student Association (ILSA) introduces the FIRST EVER International Dispute Negotiation Competition, INTENTION. It aims to improve critical and analytical thinking to come up with arguments on recent international issues; as well as to enhance student’s communication skills.   INTENTION is the first negotiation competition for undergraduate students in Indonesia, which is inspired by many negotiation competitions overseas. INTENTION is open for all faculty and major; the Competition will give you the best experience to learn how world leader’s conduct negotiation to solve international disputes. Each competition consists of two teams; each team consists of two persons. Every team is to portray their respective views and claims in order to meet mutual consent. The competition will be judged upon: 1. How the negotiators are able to respond and came up with their claims on the case 2. The methods used to offer and compromise on the issue 3.
