We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga, will organise The Third of International Conference on Law, Governance and Globalisation (ICLGG) on 3-5 November 2021 (virtual conference). The first and second ICLGG was successfully held in 2017 and 2018. Numerous experts from various countries had attended our Conferences and given their invaluable support to its success. The idea of ICLGG is departed from the thoughts to enhance the development of law and governance in the influence of globalisation. Therefore, the ICLGG is continued to serve as a forum of law and governance stakeholders in Indonesia and beyond to bring together ideas in promoting and developing law to respond to the growing needs of having strong guiding principles in a borderless world.
The Third ICLGG theme this year is The Challenge of Sustainable Development: Present and Future. The theme’s choice is due to the main challenges to sustainable development agendas, which are global in character, including poverty and exclusion, unemployment, climate change, conflict and humanitarian aid, building peaceful and inclusive societies, building strong governance institutions, and supporting the rule of law. Therefore, the conference is expected to bring together ideas and solutions to solve the challenges of sustainable development for the present and future from various perspectives beyond law and governance.
Within this broad conference theme, there are the following sub-themes that focus on:
- Rule of Law (General issues of law)
- Good Governance and public policy
- Intellectual Property Rights, Economic and Global Trade Issues
- Social and Political Issues
- Human Rights and Justice issues
- Environmental Issues
