Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga is one of the leading law faculties in Indonesia. Established in 1954, it has been acknowledged that the Faculty has an excellent national reputation and been accredited “A” (excellent) by BAN-PT as the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in the last 30 (thirty) years respectively. Internationally, the faculty has been accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) and AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance).
Most of senior lawyer within the region are the faculty of law alumni with high reputation. Most of public oﬃcers in Law Department whether in Provincial (Provinsi) or Municipal (Kota) are alumni of the program. The alumni of the program spread to other University in the region and become academician in their ﬁeld. In private sector such as banking and corporate, alumni of the program also hold strategic position within their legal division.
Since academic year 2017/2018, Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga has opened International Undergarduate Program. This program oﬀers International Law and International Business Law (Indonesian perspective) which is delivered in English (except law of procedures).
This Program is speciﬁcally designed for:
– National and foreign students graduated from Senior High School wishing to pursue a Sarjana Hukum (S.H.) equals to Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
– Foreign legal practitioners who are wishing to practice legal activities in Indonesia, ASEAN and Asia regions
Students of International Undergraduate Program will have opportunities to join student exchange, fast track and double degree program.
program oﬀers student to study abroad in our university partners. The credits obtained from Exchange Program can be transferred into the credits for Bachelor program.
The Fast Track
is a program designed to pursue bachelor degree and master degree in a shorter period of time. This program may be taken by students who have ﬁnished their third year in Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga.
program in “International, European and Indonesian Law” is a four-year program by which in the ﬁrst year, the student will join the international class program provided by Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga and continue their second and third year in the regular European Law School (ELS)-Program in Maastricht University. Then, the student will have to come back to continue the fourth year in Airlangga University. After successfully ﬁnishing the program, both Universitas Airlangga and Maastricht University will issue a diploma to the graduate.
The students of International Class Program have participated on several International Moot Court competitions; one of which is the 19th International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot (IMLAM) in 2018 held by TC Beirne School of Law, the University of Queensland, Australia, where Airlangga University got awarded The Sarah Derrington Encouragement Award and Overall Runner-Up Written Memorial. The team of Phillip Jessup’s International Law Moot Court Competition won the National Round and entitled to represent Indonesia at the international round in Washington DC in April 2020.
How to Apply?
To apply this program, candidate shall fulﬁll the requirements as follows:
- Have completed their Senior High School study;
- Demonstrate a suﬃcient high performance in their study in Senior High School;
- Provide evidence of the study; Senior High School Diploma, and/or National Examination Result;
- Proven English Language Proﬁciency, demonstrated by way of a TOEFL iBT (Score 60) or IELTS test (Score 6.0) or Airlangga English Language Proﬁciency Test – ELPT (Score 500).
*Note: This requirement does not apply if you have completed your education from English Language countries.
