UNAIR Law Student Becomes Youngest Delegation at International Business Conference
The current global crisis has made it difficult for companies to adapt. To overcome the problems faced by companies in developing their business continuity, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) held the “Sustainability in Business Summit 2023” conference on Wednesday (8/3/2023) at Marina Bay, Singapore. This conference aims to enable companies to adapt to the presence of the digital economy.
One of the participants in the conference was a student at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga (FH UNAIR), Wiratama (2022). Wira, his nickname, was one of the participants who came to represent Indonesia and was the youngest participant.
“First, I found out about this activity because I was invited via email. There were not many delegations from Indonesia itself and thanked God I was one of those selected,” said Wira.
Wira explained that the conference was quite busy, even though it was only held for one day. This activity is also part of the pre-summit preparation for the 2023 APEC Summit in San Francisco, United States.
“The benefits that I get from this activity are certainly very many. There are panel discussions, seminars, and legal discussions. I can also do social networking with delegates from various countries. I learned how to make the company’s management directors able to provide business continuity and innovation during a global crisis,” said Wira.
“I have long wanted to pursue the world of business development. I see that business will continue to grow as long as developments occur. Apart from that, it also follows my wish to major in business law at FH UNAIR,” he continued.
Apart from being a conference participant, Wira also wrote a paper on sustainability in business. His paper became one of the materials for discussion during the panel discussion. For him, it was the most memorable experience because he could discuss the issues he was interested in with participants from various countries.
