Cultural Night 2023: Cultural Nuances of the Closing of Airlangga Law Festival (ALFEST) 2023

(2/11/2023) | Airlangga Law Festival (ALFEST) has many activities for all FH UNAIR students. The end of the ALFEST series is Cultural Night; this activity is the closing of ALFEST 2023, which has been held for more or less three months.

Cultural Night itself is an activity like an art performance and is also part of the Dean’s Cup awarding and awards for participants who have auditioned for Law Got Talent. During Cultural Night, there are lots of artistic performances such as traditional dances, musical performances, and various other excitement.

Janice (2021), as the Cultural Night Project Officer, revealed that the preparation for the Cultural Night, which was held on Saturday (28/11/2023), was a reasonably short activity, considering that this activity was also the peak and closing event of the ALFEST series, which made it a challenge in itself, for her and the Cultural Night committee in preparing an exciting event.

“Cultural Night is one of the activities that was created as a place to channel talent and a place to have fun to close the series of ALFEST. “With a fairly short preparation time, it was a challenge for us, the Cultural Night organizing committee. Thank God, this event went well,” said Janice.

The art performance at Cultural Night gave an interesting impression to the entire FH UNAIR academic community. As stated at the beginning, the most eagerly awaited part of the closing of ALFEST is the awarding of the Dean’s Cup, and Law Got Talent participants, both of which are activities that are eagerly awaited to be held every year.

“Hopefully, in the future, this activity can be held even better, and with the theme of Cultural Night this time, incorporating Indonesian culture, it can provide learning for all parties to respect each other’s culture as a form of unity in diversity,” said the 2023 Cultural Night Project Officer.
