Humas (24/06) |Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Faculty of Law Maastricht University, the Dean Prof. Jan Smits received a visit from Faculty of Law Airlangga University delegation led by Dean Nurul Barizah, Ph.D along with 2nd Vice Dean and 3rd Vice-Dean. Prof. Jan Smits on this meeting expressed his happiness at the collaboration of the Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) between Maastricht University Faculty of Law and UNAIR Faculty of Law. With this program it is expected that the collaboration between both parties will be carrying out more broadly and comprehensively. It means that the OKP is an entry point for broader collaboration. Especially, in terms of Visiting Lectures, Student Exchange and Double Degree Programs. In the case of Visiting Lectures, so that the academic agenda of the lecturers that can exchanged is carefully planned and more realistic to give priority for short visiting lectures.
As for the Exchange Student, Faculty of Law Maastricht hopes that extensive information dissemination can be made to Faculty of Law UNAIR’s students about the exchange program. So that there are more choices for students to exchange. Besides that UNAIR Faculty of Law explores the Double Degree program. The Maastricht Faculty of Law held a Double Degree program with one of the tertiary institutions in Indonesia, so this became a benchmark for Faculty of Law UNAIR to do the same.
At the end of the meeting, the Dean of Faculty of Law UNAIR, Nurul Barizah Ph.D delivered an invitation to Prof. Smits for visiting Lectures at the Faculty of Law UNAIR and several other academic activities. Prof. Smits welcomed positively and planned to visit Faculty of Law UNAIR in October 2019.
