Last Friday (7/9), the Department of International Law, Faculty of Law, Airlangga University again held a Service and Assistance Program for the Pengumbulanadi Village Community in Tikung District, Lamongan Regency. This service and assistance to the community is a routine activity carried out by the Department of International Law as a series of mentoring to the target community.
In this first assistance, counseling was carried out by giving two materials. The first material with the title Towards the World Class UMKM was hosted by Koesrianti, Ph.D. In this material, Mrs. Anti, as Koesrianti, Ph.D.’s nickname, emphasized the importance of the role of MSME sector craftsmen in increasing the selling value of Indonesia as a supplier of traditional goods that have export value to foreign countries. Then the second material with the title Procedure for Exporting Craft Products Made from Natural Raw was delivered by Dr. Intan Soeparna. This material is very important to encourage craftsmen and craftsmen groups to prepare for the expansion of their woven products abroad.
On another occasion, Nilam Andalia Kurniasari, coordinator of service activities and assistance to the craftsmen of the woven bag of Pengumbulandi Village said that Pengumbulandi Village had always been famous for its woven bags. “This is where the idea arises from counseling and mentoring the craftsmen to maximize the results of their craft,” said Nilam, who is also a native of the Lamongan region. “In addition, we are also ready to provide consultations related to export procedures to foreign countries and what if later legal issues arise related to these export activities,” added Nilam.
